In Elm and Oak Class we have lots of fun at school every day, learning through play and exciting experiences!
We practice counting, phonics, writing, reading, speaking and listening all of the time. We also work on our, physical, social and creative skills too, as they are just as important.
We plan and work closely with staff in Foundation Stage 1 (Nursery).
In Foundation Stage 1 and 2 (Nursery, Elm and Oak Classes) we will be starting to learn ‘Makaton’ which involves using signs and gestures to communicate; this aids all children’s speech, language and communication development.
We will be learning two new signs each week as a class, and these will be displayed on the doors for each class, if you would like to help your child practise these at home.
